On February 17, 2026, Ministry of Environment with the support of SANE 27 organised the Consultation and Discussion Table on Chapter 27, Environment and Climate Change.
This meeting brought together key institutions and experts to reflect on Albania’s progress in the EU integration process and to discuss the next important steps ahead. The Minister of Environment, Mr. Sofjan Jaupaj, opened the table, followed by presentations on the progress achieved so far, the Common Position and Closing Benchmarks, and the Action Plan for 2026–2027, including the new legal acts and bylaws foreseen.
Discussion took place where many ideas were exchanged as well as recommendations, reinforcing our shared commitment to advancing Chapter 27 and strengthening Albania’s environmental alignment with the European Union.
