On April 4, 2024, Sane 27 organized a study visit in Skopje, North Macedonia in order to exchange experience in developing and implementation of the Extended Producers Responsibility (EPR). During the meeting was shared the experience in establishing and managing the EPR, EPR main principles and how EU supported North Macedonia in the EPR scheme. Furthermore, first handed experience was shared for implementation of the EPR in specific waste streams such as Waste Electronical and Electronic Equipement, Waste Packaging as well as the important role of the waste collectors and recyclers in EPR. Representativefrom MTE, GIZ, SIDA were present in this study visit. A great discussion took place during the meeting between the Albanian delegation and the guest speakers from North Macedonia.
