On 26 September, SANE27, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, organised the workshop on the “Green Agenda for the Western Balkans (GAWB) implementation in Albania”.
The workshop highlighted Albania’s achievements in GAWB implementation and outlined effective coordination mechanisms to streamline efforts. Moreover, it served as a platform to raise awareness and strengthen collaboration among a diverse group of stakeholders committed to Albania’s green transition.
The workshop was officially opened by the Deputy Minister for tourism and environment, Mr. Sofjan Jaupaj. Also, valuable insights on GAWB were presented from representatives from European Commission – DG Near, Energy Community Secretariat, Regional Cooperation Council and Austrian Environment Agency. Experience in GAWB implementation from different Western Balkan countries, such as Montenegro and Serbia, was shared.
