On 17-18 July, 2024, SANE 27 in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment of Albania, organized a study tour in Vienna. The visit took place at the Environmental Agency of Austria and was focused on EU integration for Chapter 27. Major covered topics included Waste, the EU Green Deal as well as EU legislative process and inter-ministerial coordination in Austria. On the second day, a guided tour to Spittelau Waste Incineration Plant (most efficient incinerator in Europe), was organized where the delegation first hand witnessed the incineration process. This study visit served as a great example and source of knowledge to learn and prepare for the upcoming chapter 27 EU negotiations.
